I like this piece - for many, writing daily is an opportunity to tune into their craft. When you are developing your writing, you start to take notice how your words land on a page. A voice begins to develop, one that is distinctly you. Words take on larger and grander meanings, representative of something more that we only read about.
At the end, writing becomes transcribing how you see the world in the words that are best accurate for that.
Being thoughtful in your writing is more important than any habit or routine. But its the habit and routine that lead to the thoughtfulness. If we can approach life with mindfulness in what we do, and have patience with ourselves and freedom to consider what we do, then anyone can improve their craft.
